In honour of the invention of the iconic two-piece swimsuit, today - on 5th July we are celebrating National Bikini Day!
First debuted at a fashion show in Paris in 1946, the bikini has been a staple of the summer and holiday wardrobe for 77 years.
At Nicola Jane we believe that there is 'Beauty in Every Body' and a variety of bikini styles always feature in our swimwear collection. Specifically designed to be worn after surgery following a breast cancer diagnosis, we hope that each style will help you feel beautiful and as confident (if not more!) as you did before surgery.

“When designing post-surgery bikinis our challenge is to design a versatile style that will suit every body, this can be difficult as after surgery everybody’s scars and requirements are unique. During the design process, I always have two main aims: to make you feel secure in the style, whilst looking fabulous! Once you put on your bikini style of choice, I want you to be able to get on with your holiday feeling as comfortable and as confident as possible!"
Masai Mara Bikini
Back by popular demand, the Masai Mara Bikini returns to our collection for 2023. Designed with a slightly higher, sheer mesh neckline, this 'cami' style bikini will give you the feeling of added security - perfect if you have high scarring or a slight concave chest post-surgery. The inner pockets hold a breast form securely in place, giving you no need to worry about it moving or falling out. Team with the matching full briefs to complete the look.
Monte Carlo Bikini
Designed to be worn in a way that makes you feel most confident, the Monte Carlo is a perfect style to accompany you on your next holiday! The bandeau style top provides a snug fit, allowing you to wear it with the straps or confidently as a strapless bandeau. Both the sides and the centre are deeper to help secure the top in place, as well as cover any scarring. Combined with flattering full bikini briefs, this complete style will have you turning heads for all the right reasons!
